Can You Identify This Man?

Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office asks for public's help to identify remains of homeless man found in East Tampa.

Hillsborough County sheriff’s detectives are asking for the public's help in identifying a man’s remains found on Nov. 8 in a wooded area just south of 5233 E. Hillsborough Ave. and west of the CSX railroad tracks.

The victim was known to be homeless and went by the nickname "preacher man." According to other transients in the area, his first name is believed to be Mike, sheriff's spokeswoman Debbie Carter said in a news release.

Due to the condition of the body, the Medical Examiner's Office initiated the services of University of South Florida Forensic Anthropologist Erin Kimmerle. The photo is of the facial reconstruction done by Kimmerle.
