Cameras Linked to Cell Phone Alert Homeowner
The resulting video and a watchful neighbor help lead to burglary suspect's arrest.

Motion-activated cameras linked to a cell phone led to quick action when a homeowner who was at work received video of someone leaving his fenced yard at 1600 E. Comanche Ave. with a bicycle. When officers arrived at the home, a neighbor who’d seen the 2 p.m. incident pointed out a suspect who appeared to be returning to the home on a different bicycle. Police arrested the man.

A stranger reportedly kicked in the door at the home of a Sulphur Springs woman in the process of moving, grabbed her 52-inch flat-screen TV from the living room and left. The burglary occurred between 11 p.m. and midnight at 1700 E. Idell St.
