Baby Food and Bikes Taken From Seminole Heights Homes

Here is a look back at Seminole Heights activity over the last week on the Tampa Police Department's crime blotter.

Thursday July 12

  • A woman in the 2000 block of East Fern Street placed three bags of baby clothes and food in her car before returning to her house. While she was gone, a thief opened her car and stole the bags before fleeing. Police responded and searched the neighborhood in the rain with negative results.

Wednesday July 18

  • Thieves entered an open garage in the 300 block of West Osborne Avenue and stole three bicycles valued at $2,300 before fleeing undetected. Neighborhood surveys by police yielded no results.
  • Thieves attempted to break into a house in the 1200 block of East Knollwood Street by striking the deadbolt and door knob with an unknown object. The door knob was completely removed from the door but the attempt to enter the house was a failure.
