Armed Robbery Suspect Nabbed at Hard Rock Casino

Recovered was $300,000 in stolen jewelry and $25,000 in stolen cash, according to police.

The suspect in an armed robbery of the Value Pawn Store on N. Nebraska Avenue was arrested today at the Seminole Hard Rock Casino.

Police arrested 36-year-old Alexander Escarraman Enchauteg. Authorities said they recovered from the suspect's vehicle $300,000 in stolen jewelry, $25,000 in stolen cash, as well as the suspect's gun and backpack used during the crime.

Escarraman faces the following charges:

  • Armed Robbery with a Firearm,
  • Armed Kidnapping with a Firearm,
  • Violation of Probation for Robbery
  • Grand Theft

According to authorities, the suspect, wearing large sunglasses and a hooded sweatshirt, entered the store armed with a handgun as the store was opening Friday morning.

He tied the hands of the male employee and left him in a back office. Next, he forced the female employee to open the safe at gunpoint.

The suspect stole cash and jewelry then fled from the scene on foot.

Air Service, K-9, plain-clothes ROC officers and Robbery Detectives responded. Through witnesses, detectives identified a possible suspect. They set up surveillance on the home of a former female employee with ties to the suspect. 

A short time later, she left the residence with two suitcases and drove to Seminole Hard Rock Casino. The suspect and another male arrived in another vehicle. The armed robbery suspect was taken into custody with the help of the Seminole Police Department and Seminole Hard Rock Security.  

Possible charges are pending against the former employee and second male.
