$50,000 of Marijuana Found in Seminole Heights Grow House

A 49-year-old man was arrested this week in connection to a marijuana grow house discovered in Seminole Heights.

On Tuesday, detectives from the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office headed to 7215 N. Duncan Avenue after a tipster gave details about a marijuana grow operation there, authorities say. While searching the house, detectives found two bedrooms converted into marijuana growing rooms. They seized 22 marijuana plants, loose marijuana that totaled 47 pounds, 13 lights and ballasts.

The street value is worth about $50,000, authorities say. TECO officials also responded, and found an illegal tap providing un-metered electricity to the house.

Pedro Martin Millares, 49, who lives at the home, was charged with trafficking in marijuana over 25 pounds, cultivation of marijuana, own, lease or rent for the purpose of trafficking marijuana, grant theft and possession of drug paraphernalia.
