2 Men Sought in Gunpoint Robbery at Eatery

The incident occurred on Monday night, according to authorities, who provided surveillance video of the suspects on YouTube.

Tampa police are searching for two men they say robbed a Papa John's Pizza in the Seminole Heights area at gunpoint on Monday night.

Here's what happened at 11:47 p.m. on Monday at 512 E. Hillsborough Avenue, according to the Tampa Police Department:

Two men entered the store through the front door and began demanding cash. One of them is about six feet tall, and is wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, red bandana, black gloves, black athletic shorts with yellow accents, and white socks and shoes.

The other man is about the same height, but is wielding a gun. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black hat with a red brim, red letters and a gold decal, light-colored gloves, dark pants and shoes, and a gray or blue bandana.

The suspect with the gun pointed it at one of the employees, grabbed the employee by the arm and pulled him into the back of the business. Then, the two suspects approached another employee and force her to open the registers and safe.

The men took an unknown amount of money out of the cash registers and fled on foot when they realized the employee couldn't access the safe.

None of the employees were injured during the robbery.

Anyone with information should call 1-800-873-8477.
