Tampa Bay Will Have a World Class Yoga Festival

Rasa-Lila Fest will debut on April 16 in Odessa.

In my experience, whenever I was ever planning to attend a yoga festival I typically had to book a flight to New York, Colorado or California. Tampa just didn’t have large scale yoga events.

That’s not the case this year.

On April 16, yoga lovers in Tampa Bay can enjoy Rasa-Lila Fest at Key Stone Campgrounds in Odessa.

“At Rasa-Lila, there will be something for everyone”, said Nathan Bangs, festival creator and founder of Yoga Tampa Bay.

The festival will bring together the local yoga community with meditation, workshops, music, dancing and children’s events. Gates open at 7 a.m. for registration and events begin at 9 a.m. Over 46 vendors have signed up, including 25 local yoga studios, a dozen holistic vendors and food vendors.

Some of Tampa Bay’s top teaching talent will lead classes, including Amy Chin of Seminole Heights’s own . Other instructors will be on hand from White Orchid, Trinity Yoga, Yoga Etc., Wendy Fit Yoga, Yoga Village, The Lotus Room, Happy Buddha Yoga, and Bella Prana.

The very last class hosted by Yogani Studios will be taught by Ashley Halley, fresh from her studies in India. She will lead a sunset shakti flow class featuring music from D.J. Drez. Festival workshops are being sponsored by the Holistic Network of Tampa Bay.

The pricing is very affordable. Kids under twelve can enter the festival for free. Tickets for ages 13 to 17 are $25. Admission for ages 18 and up is $50 through March 31. After April 1, that price goes up to $65.

While food vendors will be on site, Bangs encourages ticket holders to bring a cooler, drinking water and food for the day.

Nathan Bangs was generous to offer a discount to all of you looking for a Balanced Life, so when you purchase your tickets. Enter the code word “PATCH” receive 10 percent discount.
