Home Prices Increase, as Inventory Declines

Median home prices are higher in the greater Tampa area than they were last year, with the inventory down.

Median home prices in Seminole Heights and across the Tampa metro area are up by 12.7 percent over March 2012, reports the public data website, Department of Numbers.

As of March 11, 2013, the median asking price of homes was about $169,000, compared with $149,900 a year ago.

Inventory is down, meaning buyers do not have as many houses to choose from and sellers are more able to get the prices they want.
