Blessing of the Creche

The Franciscan Center of Tampa will commemorate the birth of Christ and the Christmas season with its annual Blessing of the Crèche at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, December 6, 2011. The evening will include song, prayer and quiet reflection. Participants are encouraged to bring figures from their own nativity scenes to be blessed. The ritual will be led by Father Sean O’Brien, OFM, Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Sean Fitzsimmons, Director of Liturgical Ministries, Sacred Heart, will lead in music and song. Hot chocolate, Franciscan Center cookies, and other refreshments will be served following the blessing. All are welcome; no reservations are necessary.
