The Florida State Fair is much more than rides and midway food! It includes a grand exhibition of the agricultural, industrial, mechanical, horticultural, dairy, forestry, poultry, and livestock resources. Young 4-H Club members compete in the Champion Youth Program. The Florida Center hosts competitions in art, woodworking, textiles, quilting, wine-making, horticulture, baking, and photography, and displays the works of high school students from counties across Central Florida. The Florida Center also houses historical exhibits of the City of Tampa and early State Fairs. Cracker Country is a rural Florida living history museum, with Fair-time activities which include a variety of traditional early craft and trade artisans recreate the lives and labors of the past.
