Southeast Seminole Heights
4th Annual Taste of the Heights Tickets on sale now.

Southeast Seminole Heights has opened ticket sales to the 4th Annual Taste of the Heights– the area’s most popular fundraising event. The event has continued to grow each year and features Seminole Heights restaurants, bars, breweries, local bands and entertainment. With the Seminole Heights neighborhood quickly becoming the areas most popular destination for locally owned eateries, breweries and bars, the event continues to sell out quickly. This year, tickets have been pre-sold and promoted through local websites and neighborhood email groups for one month. As a result, nearly 70% of tickets have been sold. “Due to all of the new businesses coming into Seminole Heights, we have expanded the event with more tickets and some additional features”, said Stan Lasater an event organizer.“ This year, we are excited to feature at least two local artists at each of the locations along the tour. The artist will be exhibiting and selling their art the day of the event.” continued Lasater.

The Taste of the Heights is a walking/biking tour of 10 stops along an approximate ½ mile route. Each stop will feature bistro style seating allowing guests to enjoy samplings of local restaurants, beer or wine, art and live entertainment. Each stop will showcase at least two of Seminole Heights popular eateries such as the Refinery, a James Beard Foundation culinary awards finalist, Ella’s Folk Art Café, Reservations Gourmet to Go, The Original Taco Bus, Domani’s Bistro and Lounge, Smoking Oaks BBQ, San Carlos Tavern and Grill, Three Coins Diner, Mikey’s Café and Bakery, The Front Porch Grill, Country Pumpkin Café, Stephanno’s, Café Hey, The Mermaid Tavern, The Independent, Southern Brewing and Winemaking, Cold Storage Craft Brewery, The Brew Bus, The Florida Distillery, and soon to open; Bourgeois Pig, Rooster & The Till, Angry Chair Brewing Co. and Red Star Rock Bar… and many more. Entertainment will be provide at each location featuring some of the area’s most popular bands and performers such as Genghis Flan, the Urbane Cowboys, The Jim Morey Band, Jeff Brawer, Damion Suomi and many others. The list of acts will continue to grow as the event nears.
