Can't make it to Rockefeller Center this year? Head to historic Ybor City for a tree lighting ceremony at Centro Ybor. Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn will light the 34’ tree for the first time this holiday season.
Local community leaders and Santa Claus will join the second annual holiday celebration on Wednesday, November 28.
The festivities begin at 6 p.m., with the tree lighting taking place between 6:30 and 6:45 p.m. Bring your camera for free take-your-own photos with Santa in Centro Ybor from 7 to 7:30 p.m.
In addition to the tree lighting, three families selected by Pediatric Cancer Foundation will receive holiday gifts donated by Florida Entertainment Group, which owns/manages several nightclubs and bars in Ybor City.
This free event is part of a series of Historic Holiday Spirit events. After the tree lighting ceremony, guests of all ages are invited to continue the holiday celebration at the Miracle on 7th Avenue holiday party presented by The RITZ Ybor. Enjoy complimentary catering, live entertainment, holiday beverages, prize drawings and a silent auction.
Miracle on 7th Avenue is free to attend; donations will be accepted at the door for Pediatric Cancer Foundation. Proceeds from bar, beverage and photo sales will also benefit the charity. For more information on the event, visit www.RitzYbor.com.
