Historic Holiday Spirit Parade & Snow on 7th

Holiday forecast: 100% chance of snow in Historic Ybor City


Free, family-friendly fun with snowfall, holiday parade & winter carnival on December 15


Ybor City will be converted into a winter wonderland on December 15. As snow falls, a holiday parade will proceed down 7th Avenue – one of the “10 Greatest Streets in America.”

Mayor Bob Buckhorn will kick-off the parade with Santa and Mrs. Claus. The parade will also include marching bands, Rockette-style kickline, holiday music revue, and horse drawn carriages. Snow will fall from rooftops and balconies of Ybor City businesses along the parade route.


At the end of the parade route, a free Winter Carnival provides entertainment until 2 a.m. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be available for free photos with attendees at the Winter Carnival after the parade. Attendees should bring their own camera.

The free, family-friendly events start at 7 p.m.


The events are a part of Historic Holiday Spirit, a series of free events created as a community celebration of the holiday season in Ybor City.


Restaurants, galleries and shops throughout the historic district have added holiday décor and lights to celebrate the season. Community volunteers and the City of Tampa have decorated lampposts, along sideways and the gateway entrance to Ybor City.

Where: Historic Ybor City


Snow Zone: East 7th Avenue between 15th and 17th Streets


Parade Route: East 7th Avenue, starting at 20th Street and ending at 14th Street


Winter Carnival: East 7th Avenue & 14th Street


Road Closures: East 7th Avenue between 20th Street and 13th Street will be closed to traffic Saturday starting at 3 p.m. The road will reopen after the parade concludes.
