13th Annual Tampa Bay Black Heritage Festival

The 13th Annual Tampa Bay Black Heritage Festival occurs January 17-26, 2013. This year’s exciting festival promotes diversity and cultural sensitivity. The 10-day enriching celebration includes: a Living History Art Exhibit featuring pioneer civil rights leaders Harry and Harriette Moore; an inspiring leadership luncheon; annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Day parade; a special film screening focusing on relevant cultural issues; empowerment seminars and much more!

The two day street festival is the centerpiece of the Heritage Festival featuring musical entertainment from smooth sounds of jazz saxophonist Eric Darius and soulful all-female Pop/R&B band Klymaxx. The street festival also includes six interactive “villages”, delicious, ethnic food concessions and craft vendors. The six villages include:  an Artist Village, an Author Village, a Children Village, a Greek Village, a Health Village and a Corporate Village. Bring the entire family out for this annual celebration of history and educational awareness.
