By Maria will be hosting an event for Dress For Success THIS SATURDAY, November
2nd to support their effort of helping women in need get back into the
workplace. Gifts By Maria is joined by co-sponsor Lizette Riviera of Leading Public Adjusters, a volunteer who donates her time helping these ladies with resumes and interviewing skills. Owner Maria Alvarez wanted to use the opportunity to give back to her local community.  “I wanted our celebration to benefit the wonderful Dress for Success program – as a woman business owner I want to support any organization that empowers women with the confidence to step out and be successful too,” Alvarez said. “Maria’s Salon & Spa” will also be giving to this great cause.  Patrick Fernandez, a hair stylist at the Salon will be offering his services free to the ladies served by Dress By Success before they go on their interviews.     During the event, anyone who brings any gently used item of ladies business-style clothing (suits, blazers, skirts, coordinates) will receive 25% off of their entire purchase on the day of the event as well as discounts off of salon and spa services.  Gifts by Maria will also be giving away a variety of door prizes and offering refreshments and food provided by the Rivera, with Cakes by Terry and food by Silver Ring Brandon.  Gifts By Maria is an upscale gift boutique that has been in business in the Tampa Bay area for 20 years.  The new “Maria’s Salon & Spa” offers hair, makeup, nails, massage, and body and skin care services. The two businesses are connected which provides customers the unique experience of being able to pamper themselves and shop at the same time. The boutique, located at 4816 N. Armenia Avenue, is one of the Tampa’s best kept secrets!
