Sponsorships Needed for Tampa Bay Senior Games

The two-week event is held in October for anyone age 50 and older.

If you're a local business owner, the Hillsborough County Parks, Recreation and Conservation Department needs your help.

The department is asking for sponsorships from local businesses for the 2013 Annual Tampa Bay Senior Games.

The Games are open to anyone age 50 or older, and feature two weeks of competition in various activities, such as basketball, bean bag toss, billiards, bowling, dominoes, golf, hobby show, pickleball, pinochle, swimming, table tennis, talent showcase, tennis, and track and field.

The two-week long event will be held Oct. 7 - Oct. 18 at various locations around Tampa Bay. Sponsorships help cover the costs for advertisement, bags, T-shirts, food, use of facilities, and other event-related expenses.

Sponsors receive the following perks:

  • Organizations will get their names and/or logos featured in publications, t-shirts and other printed material
  • They will be allowed to place banners at certain event locations
  • They can place a display and hand out information during the opening ceremony and at certain events.

The Tampa Bay Senior Games are hosted by the Hillsborough County Parks, Recreation and Conservation Department, Hillsborough County Family and Aging Services, City of Tampa Parks and Recreation Department, and Temple Terrace Leisure Services.
