Police: Woman Threatened with Taser Near Chamberlain High School

A woman was attacked near Chamberlain High School on Monday afternoon, according to Tampa police.

Around 12:48 p.m., an unidentified man approached a woman from the side and grabbed her, telling her to stop walking, police said.

The woman pushed him off of her and noticed he was holding a Taser, police said.

The man told her to give him money or he would blast her with the Taser, police said. The woman ran away and reported with the incident, police said.

A student resource officer and school security officer spotted the man, who ran from them, police said.

Eventually, the man was detained and arrested. He was charged with attempted armed robbery, possession of a weapon on school grounds and resisting without violence.
