The Florida Department of Transportation and CSX will close Nebraska Avenue at the railroad tracks just south of Cass Street starting Monday at 9 a.m. The road will reopen August 14. This closure is necessary for the replacement of the tracks.
Here are other planned road closings due to railroad repairs for the month of August:

- Mississippi Avenue between Howard and Georgia avenues
Aug. 8-11
- Nebraska Avenue between Zack Street and Nuccio Parkway
- Platt Street at Dakota Avenue
Aug. 15-18

- Dale Mabry Highway between Gandy Boulevard and Fair Oaks Avenue (The entrance to the Selmon Expressway on Dale Mabry will continue to be open and will operate throughout the closure.)
- Howard Avenue between Watrous and Morrison avenues
Aug. 22-25
- 21st Street between 5th and 7th avenues
- South MacDill Avenue at Santiago Street (Just south of the MacDill Avenue and Bay-to-Bay Boulevard intersection.)
Aug. 29-Sept. 1
- Euclid Avenue between Himes and Lynwood avenues
- Doyle Carlton Drive between Cass and Polk streets
