  • Last night was the City of Tampa's first public hearing on the proposed budget. The next one is scheduled for Sept. 21. The hearing can be viewed from the City Council's web page.
  • The City of Tampa will dedicate a 9/11 memorial at Patriot's Corner at 4:30 p.m. Friday. An artifact from the World Trade Center will dedicated by Mayor Bob Buckhorn and community leaders.
  • Hillsborough County will hold a communitywide 9/11 Ceremony of Remembrance this Friday at 12:05 p.m. in Joe Chillura Courthouse Square, corner of Kennedy Boulevard and Pierce Street in downtown Tampa.
