Metropolitan Ministries Holiday Tent Opens to Families in Need

Holiday assistance clients will receive complete Thanksgiving meals.

On Thursday, the Metropolitan Ministries Holiday Tent will open to serve families in need throughout Tampa.  Thousands of local volunteers will help clients shop for their Thanksgiving meals inside the tent’s caring and compassionate environment.  Metropolitan Ministries expects to serve 25,900 poor and homeless families with meals and toys at the tent this holiday season.

The event will be held at new Metropolitan Ministries tent, 400 West Palm Avenue from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Thursday, 9:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Sunday.

Local client families, volunteers and staff of Metropolitan Ministries will be on hand.
