Florida Literacy Month Is Here: Get Your Free Library Card and Tunes, Too
Hillsborough County Public Library Cooperative card holders can now download free tunes.
Florida Governor Rick Scott proclaimed September 2011 to be Florida Literacy Month.
Folks are encouraged to sign-up for a free library card by visiting the at 4711 N. Central Ave., or visiting www.hcplc.org and clicking on Get a Card to download an application.
New Hillsborough County Public Library Cooperative card holders will receive a free Sleek Aero ballpoint pen while supply last.

Now you can download free music each week from the Sony Music Entertainment catalog through a new online service called Freegal Music.

To download music, visit www.hcplc.org and click on Books, Movies and Music. Enter the barcode on your library card, and then follow the prompts to the Freegal Music site. Once there, you can download up to three free songs each week onto any computer. They will play on any MP3 player, iPod, Smartphone, laptop or tablet computer.
Freegal Music offers hundreds of thousands of songs in 100 genres of music through more than 50 record labels.
