Erwin Tech Open House This Week

This just in from Erwin Technical Center:

Erwin Technical Center will host their annual open house Wednesday, October 17 from 5:30 p.m. to  7 p.m.

Located at 2010 East Hillsborough Avenue, Erwin is one of the largest postsecondary technical centers in Hillsborough County, drawing 900-plus student enrollment from local agencies working with displaced workers and  22 area high schools.

Said Jessica Vega, HiTEC's Marketing and Public Relations DRT: “The open house is an excellent opportunity for incoming students and parents – as well as those interested in future enrollment – to meet our instructors, see the classrooms and discuss college credit opportunities.”

Erwin Technical Center is affiliated with the Hillsborough Technical Education Centers (HITEC) an extension of  Hillsborough County Public Schools. Because of the affiliation between HiTEC and Hillsborough County Public Schools, the technical centers have the ability to offer  career-focused programs that are accredited and affordable.

Programs offered at Erwin Technical Center range from cosmetology to medical billing and coding.
