'Craftology' Fundraiser at Glazer Features Craft Beer, Live Music

Cold Storage Brewery in Seminole Heights is among breweries participating in "Craftology - The Science of Craft Beers and Cocktails," on May 18 at the Glazer Children's Museum, 110 W. Gasparilla Plaza in Tampa.

This just in from Antonio Hill, spokesman for Glazer Children's Museum in downtown Tampa:

Glazer Children’s Museum is hosting the inaugural fundraiser, "Craftology - The Science of Craft Beers and Cocktails," on May 18.

Craftology is an adults-only event held after-hours on all three floors of the Museum. It will be “the summer kick-off event of the year” and features live music, and craft drinks, cocktails and hors d’oeuvres from bars and restaurants across Tampa Bay.

The fundraiser is being held to benefit the museum’s Title 1 School Program, which annually provides up to $40,000 worth of hands-on learning opportunities to school children at economically disadvantaged Title 1 elementary schools.  The museum missions, workshops and assemblies are available on a reservation basis to any Title 1 elementary school.

Other than transportation there is no cost to the Title 1 school or the students, however funds for the program are limited.  Due to the overwhelming demand for this program, this school year’s funds were depleted before winter break.

Shipyard Brewing Company, Cold Storage Brewery and Sea Dog Brewing Company have already agreed to sponsor the event and provide their hand-crafted beers.

Craftology will be held at the Glazer Children’s Museum from 8 p.m. until midnight on Saturday, May 18.  Tickets can be purchased at www.CraftologyTampa.com.

Additional sponsorships are available by contacting Kerry Falwell at 813-443-3805 or kfalwell@glazermuseum.org.
