Clerk Shot at Convenience Store
Tampa Police is investigating and asking anyone with information to call the department.

Tampa Police is investigating a shooting at Sam’s Food Mart at 4215 N.15th St.
The store owner found his employee Marilyn Rivera Tejada, 53, on the floor of the business with a gunshot wound in her upper body at about 3.10 p.m. today.

She was rushed to a local hospital with very serious injuries, where she remains in critical condition tonight.
Detectives are looking for eyewitnesses and they are working to develop a suspect description and determine the motive of the shooting.

There is not a surveillance system installed in the convenience store where the shooting occurred, Tampa Police spokesperson Laura McElroy said.
