5 Things to Know Today

Here's Thursday's roundup of events, information and trivia.

  1. Watch out for fog on your morning commute. The sunlight and warming temperatures up to 78 degrees should burn it off by 9 a.m.
  2. The Tampa City Council will discuss homelessness and panhandling during a workshop session this morning. We'll report back on the meeting later today.
  3. Remember the glory of playing dodge ball in your middle school P.E. class? Well, you can relive those halcyon days as an adult. Hillsborough County Parks, Recreation and Conservation Department is registering teams for a new adult league. Ten teams of 10 players each will compete for eight weeks on Fridays starting in April.   4. The Tampa Heights Civic Association will host a tonight at 7 p.m. at the Trolley Barn. Come see City Council and mayoral candidates speak about issues and answer questions.
