Here's Tuesday's roundup of events, information and trivia.

 

  1. Tuesday will hold mostly sunny skies and a high of 88 degrees in Central Tampa. After such a nice holiday weekend, we risk getting spoiled with all this nice weather.
  2. The Hillsborough County Bar Association will present an informative program at 6 p.m. at the Seminole Heights Branch Library about bankruptcy, foreclosure, and real-estate law followed by a question-and-answer session.
  3. Enjoy "" at the John F. Germany Library at 7 p.m. Andre Kupfermunz hosts an evening of coffee and facts about France in French, sharing articles in French newspapers and magazines. Group meets in the Martin Luther King, Jr. Room.
  4. Yeah, it's Tuesday, but why not still have dinner out tonight? Skipper’s Smokehouse hosts the Smokehouse Rats jam band, a Bay Area super group featuring members of Cope, Buffalo Strange, and Uncle John's Band, plus assorted surprise guests.
  5. American poet Walt Whitman was born today in 1819. Best known for his "Leaves of Grass" collection of poems, this celebrated free spirit left school at 14 to become a journeyman printer and later worked various jobs to support his writing, including as a carpenter, a teacher and a journalist.
