Here's Friday's roundup of events, information and trivia.

  1. Today's weather: pretty much glorious. with a high of 91 and mild winds out of the south.
  2. The American Cancer Society's 2011 Relay for Life comes to Middleton High School. Registration for this overnight event opens at 4:30pm. The walk begins with a lap on the school track at 6 p.m. to honor survivors and caregivers; a luminaries ceremony after dark remembers lives lost. Other activities include a "Stomp-Out Cancer" performance.
  3. It's The Tampa Museum of Art partners with local artists, volunteers, and organizations at 8 p.m. on the third Friday of every month to celebrate art, music, and entertainment. Admission is $10 per person; free for museum members.
  4. As part of the Raymond James Pops Series, the Florida Orchestra salutes some of the best-loved pop and rock artists of the 1980s. Starting at 8 p.m. at the Straz Center for the Performing Arts, , the orchestra will play songs by Madonna, Phil Collins, Prince, Michael Jackson, Bon Jovi, Elton John, Cyndi Lauper, Peter Gabriel, and others.
  5. It's the last day of , and is serving up premium cigar and stout specials.
