Here's Wednesday's roundup of events, information and trivia.

  1. Bob Buckhorn won Tuesday's runoff election for mayor, defeating Rose Ferlita with 63 percent of the vote.
  2. You can learn the secrets to planning a secure financial future for yourself and your family at a free course offered at 2 p.m. today at the Seminole Heights Branch Library. Financial Management: Women & Financial Security will teach participants budgeting, investing, and other financial goals.
  3. It's Open Mic Night at the New Way Café. The event runs 6 to 10 p.m. and is open to local musicians, poets, singers and comedians.
  4. The Seminole Heights Running Club meets each Wednesday evening at 6:30 p.m. at The Independent Bar and Café. Bring your sneakers and join fellow running enthusiasts for a jog/walk through the neighborhood and Downtown Tampa.
  5. There are some big-name music acts playing in Downtown Tampa tonight. Rod Stewart and Stevie Nicks will perform at the St. Pete Times Forum at 7:30 p.m. and Lauren Hill plays at the Ritz Ybor at 8 p.m.
