5 Things to Know This Weekend, July 9-10

Here's the weekend's roundup of events, information and trivia.

SATURDAY

  • On the second Saturday of each month the leaves promptly at 8:30 a.m. from the Seminole Heights Garden Center, 5800 N. Central Ave.
  • The Tampa Theatre hosts an entertaining tour at 11:30 a.m. about the history and architecture of this Tampa City Landmark, built in 1926 and listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
  • to have a fun-filled evening singing along to karaoke in the lounge. The music begins at 8 p.m.

SUNDAY

  • at 1:30 p.m. every Sunday through the end of July. Art collected through this period will become part of a traveling exhibit with the Children's Board of Hillsborough County's KidzCreate! Program and also will be on display at the Glazer Children's Museum through the end of the year.
  • ZaZu Productions presents "," an original play by Joseph Alan Johnson inspired by local mug-shot tabloids and Internet sites at 4 p.m. at the Straz Center for the Performing Arts.
