5 Things to Know This Weekend

SATURDAY

• On the first Saturday of every month, the John F. Germany Public Library, 900 N. Ashley Dr., offers its Friends of the Library sale in the basement. The sale runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. It is a great way to find some good summer reads and to pick up kids books and movies at a fantastic price.
  
  
• Tampa Theatre's first beer tasting fundraiser, "," will feature craft brews from around the world and delicious bites from local independent restaurants. The event runs on Saturday from 7 to 10 p.m. at 711 N. Franklin St.
  
  
• Lowry Park Zoo is hosting the Wazoo beer festival from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. The 16th annual event features more than 250 beers and beverages from around the world, samples from local restaurants, and live music.
  
  
• welcomes back to jazz duo Rebecca Zapen and LaRue Nickelson for its First Saturday Jazz Series! The show starts at 8 p.m. Come out and enjoy the music while settling into some beer or wine and a cheese plate.

• The first "Paws on the Patio" meeting will be held at 10 a.m. at Tre Amici @ The Bunker, located at 1907 N. 19th St. in Ybor City. The social gathering for dogs and their owners is seeking new members.
