PNC Bank's Logo to be Installed on Downtown Tampa Skyscraper

Installation will be on Thursday, May 30.

Last fall, PNC Bank announced the signing of a lease with One Tampa City Center that would allow the company to move its headquarters to the 15th floor of the building.

On Thursday, the bank's logo will replace Verizon on top of the city's third tallest skyscraper.

The bank's relocation to the 38-story building at 201 N. Franklin Street will change the city's skyline after the installation of the 12-foot wide sign with 9-foot letters and LED illumination, according to a PNC Bank news release.

The next phase of renocations will occur this fall on the building's interior in an effort to receive LEED certification, the release said.

"We're looking forward to becoming an even more integral part of the Tampa community with this new location," said Joseph Meterchick, PNC regional president, Florida West, in the release. “Adding our name to the building is a reflection of our long-term commitment to promoting redevelopment within the city and it provides us with increased visibility in one of the most high traffic sections of downtown.”
