Latest Family Dollar Project Showing Signs of Life

The chain will soon open its doors at 5100 N. Florida Avenue in Seminole Heights.

It's slated to open sometime in the next few months.

Crews worked at the site earlier this week, making preparations to erect the ubiquitous "Family Dollar" sign along Florida Avenue.

Despite controversy surrounding the opening of another white, block-style Family Dollar in the neighborhood, some say the latest aesthetic changes aren't that drastic.

"I don't think the building has changed much," said Greg Curtis, co-owner of Cleanse Apothecary, 5127 N. Florida Avenue. "They painted it, and now, they're putting signs up. I think it's here, whether you support it or not."
