Health Mutt to Offer Teeth Cleaning

For pets, not their owners.

Have you been procrastinating getting your pet’s teeth cleaned? Here’s your chance.

will host an anesthesia-and-drug-free dental cleaning for dogs and cats starting at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 31, and Friday, June 1.

Store owner Kendra Bailey has partnered with Canine Dental Service and holistic veterinarian Kristen Swanson for the occasion.

Teeth cleaning on pets should be performed every six months, according to Bailey.

As an added bonus, pets will get a complete veterinary physical exam prior to the teeth cleaning at the store located at 6116 N. Central Ave.

“The holistic vet who performs it will be giving tips on how to improve oral hygiene," said Bailey. "Chewing for 20 minutes a day on a bone or antler - never rawhide, as they have trouble digesting them - and especially putting them on raw food and eating raw bones really helps with oral hygiene."

To make an appointment for your pet, call Health Mutt at 813-231-3137.

Cleaning is $165 per pet, with a $20 deposit to reserve a spot. Teeth cleaning takes about 30 minutes to complete.
