Will Seminole Heights and Central Tampa Bring Home the Community Water-Wise Awards?

Individuals, organizations, and businesses can submit entries for the 2012 Community Water-Wise Awards.

Tampa Bay Water is now accepting entries for the 14th annual Community Water-Wise Awards. The program recognizes individuals and companies that have created and maintained landscapes that are not only visually appealing, but water-efficient.

Moreover, the program seeks to identify actual examples of outstanding Florida-friendly, water-wise landscaping and to promote those principles within the community.

All residents, businesses, builders and other organizations in Hillsborough, Pasco and Pinellas Counties as well as the cities of Tampa, St. Petersburg and New Port Richey are eligible to apply for the 2012 Community Water-Wise Awards.

Applicants can fill out free online applications and provide brief descriptions and photos of their landscapes at www.TampaBayWaterWise.org. Evaluations will be conducted on-site.

The deadline to submit a landscape for this year’s program is June 30. Winners will receive award stones that can be placed in the landscapes. To see pictures of previous winners, click here.
