Expungement Workshop Set to Wipe Out Bad Records

The Sulphur Springs Resource Center will host a seminar on how to expunge your record tonight.

The and Bay Area Legal Services have partnered to offer relief to those who have a pesky incident on their record, plaguing their ability to get a new job or live in a better neighborhood.

The center, located at 8412 North 12th Ave, will host the class at 5:30 p.m. this evening and will outline all the different factors that play into whether or not someone is eligible to have their record expunged and what they should go about doing if they are.

"This is a great way of providing a valuable resource to the community for us," Sulphur Springs Resource Center representative James Jackson said. "Expungement provides more opportunity for those searching for employment and can have an effect on whether or not they can volunteer, where they can live and what types of jobs they are eligible for. We've done smaller versions of this, but we're looking forward to getting a good crowd for this event."
