Halloween Tailgate Party, Tree Lighting at Local Church

If you're looking for some fun holiday-themed and family-friendly events, we found a few with the help of Pastor Matt Horan of Seminole Heights United Methodist Church.

Here's a rundown:

• Around 5 p.m. on Oct. 31, residents can pull their cars up to the parking lot of the church to celebrate Halloween with a tailgate party. Bring dinner items for your group, lawn chairs, tents, a grill or whatever you need. Hotdogs will be on sale as well. At 6 p.m., kids will be clustered in groups with youth group students and leaders to trick-or-treat. Click the church's website for more.
