Science on Screen: "Young Frankenstein"
The Tampa Theatre introduces an occasional series of lectures that have fun with science through film.
Tonight, USF physics instructor Dr. Randy Criss presents a crackling 20-minute demonstration about electricity, guaranteeing you'll know more about the subject at night's end than perhaps Young Dr. "Fronkensteen" does. Criss explains why putting an antenna on the roof is more dangerous than plugging in a toaster, what a GFI outlet is, and how the Crystal River Nuclear Plant is "like a monkey and bananas," the theater says.
Afterward, enjoy a showing of Mel Brooks' "Young Frankenstein," starring Gene Wilder.
