The 2011 McDonald's Children's Gasparilla Extravaganza takes place on Saturday. The event kicks off at 11 a.m. The parade begins at 3:30 p.m. at Bay to Bay and Bayshore boulevards.
In preparation, city officials have closed Bayshore's crossovers at DeSoto, Nance, Albany and Gunby avenues from now through 4 p.m. Sunday.

Close Bayshore northbound from Bay to Bay Boulevard to Edison Avenue.
Close Bayshore medians from Barcelona Street to Edison (through Sunday)

Close Bayshore from Gandy Boulevard to Platt Street/Channelside Drive.
Close Bay to Bay from Ysabella Avenue to Bayshore.
Close Davis Island Bridge off ramp onto northbound Bayshore.
9 a.m.
Close Bay to Bay from MacDill Avenue to Ysabella
4:30 p.m.
Close eastbound Bay to Bay Blvd at MacDill.
