Fun With Comics

The Culture and Thrills Collectibles Gallery, 5205 N. Florida Ave., Tampa, will host a Comic Book Swap Meet Saturday, July 27 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. 

Comic book lovers are invited to buy, sell or just hand out with other fans. Spaces are $15. Bring your own tables, chairs, umbrellas and tents.  Admission is free and refreshments will be available. To reserve a space, contact Eddie Wendt at eddie@dtacollectibles.com.  

Who Has The Best Cuban?

Taste the best Cuban sandwiches in Florida and meet the winners of this year's Cuban Sandwich Festival at the special awards presentation Saturday, July 27 at 11 a.m. at the Hillsborough Community College Ybor City campus, 2112 N. 15th St., Tampa.

Attendees also can watch as the world's largest Cuban is created. 

Summer Sleepover At The Zoo

Kids in grades kindergarten through eight can join the Lowry Park Zoo School education program for a sleepover in the Wallaroo Austrailian section for up-close animal encounters, a behind-the-scenes tour and themed educational activities. The events begins Saturday, July 27 at 7 p.m. and ends Sunday, July 28 at 8 a.m. The cost is $40.

Sunday Morning Meditation

The Florida Community of Mindfulness, 6501 N. Nebraska Ave., Tampa, hosts meditation and Buddhist teachings with Fred Eppsteiner each Sunday at 10 a.m.

Live Music At Ella's
