The Renaissance of The Lotus Room

New owner Ali White-Mazza brings a new energy to The Lotus Room with new classes and workshops.

Don’t be fooled by its humble subtly. A jet stream of forward thinking has entered the Lotus Room with new ownership.

The changes at 1101 W. Kennedy Blvd. have been subtle — a successful open house event, some redecorating and new faces at the front desk.

New owner Ali White-Mazza is a wife, mother of two, president of Brightstar Health Care and a yogini.

Comfortable furnishings in the lobby welcome you to wait for class in ease. There are two well-sized studios spaces, both with light wood floors and bright, airy vaulted ceilings.

It’s like the place was always made to be a space for yoga, very comfortable and beautiful.

“For me it was a process of unifying rather than change,” Mazza said.

The Lotus Room and The Lotus Pond, though separate in ownership, are partners in brand and the ultimate vision to unite community. Students won’t have to be confused, class pricing and class packages are honored at both locations.

“My vision is creating a sanctuary for ourselves and our community,” Mazza said. “A truly sacred place where people to authentically connect, learn and practice life enhancing skills seeing that as empowering and facilitating them to move live thru life with grace and ease .”

Mazza has restructured the class schedule, added new teaching talents and set in place a movement to get the whole family on the path to yoga and wellness unlike any local studio in recent times. Monthly Master Class workshops, lunch time Prana Hours and Friday Night Yoga Vibes.

I think the most important new offering is the innovative Kula Kid Care program  for children 6 weeks to 3 years and the addition of childcare during Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning and early afternoon classes.

Mazza knows how hard it is for parents to find top quality and safe care for their children, let alone find it so that they can attend yoga class.

For more information, visit www.yogalotusroom.com. The cost is $4 for the first child and $2 for each additional child. Adult classes start at $15.

Namaste!
