Tampa Bay Arthritis Walk Set for May 4

Put on your walking shoes and walk for those who have difficulty walking for themselves.

The Tampa Bay Arthritis Walk will take place Saturday, May 4 at Al Lopez Park, 4810 N. Himes Ave., Tampa.

The walk is intended to build awareness for this debilitating disease and raise necessary funds to drive arthritis research, education and life improvement programs, aquatic and exercise programs, self help, summer camps for children with arthritis ages 7-16 and the Juvenile Arthritis Conference. 

It also continues the Arthritis Foundation's search to find a cure for the nation's leading cause of disability. 

Registration for this dog-friendly event begins at 8 a.m. and the walk starts at 9 a.m. Food and drinks, kid's activities and a health fair will be provided as well.
