Road Improvements Will Effect Areas Around Seminole Heights
Improvements to 21st and 22nd Streets in Tampa will stretch as far as north as Hillsborough Avenue.
A three mile stretch of 21st and 22nd Streets in Tampa will be given road and walkway improvements according to an article in the Tampa Tribune.
The city and state are currently working together on the $7.1 million project that will improve the look and functionality of the streets. The project, set to start in the spring of 2014 after the completion of the I-4 connector project, will take 18 months to complete.
The city of Tampa will conduct maintenance on the roads after the project is completed. Aesthetic lighting to match the flavor of Ybor City, repair of storm pipes and the addition of landscaping, benches, wastebaskets and brick crosswalks are amongst the plans mentioned in the article.
