Seminole Heights Mothers, Daughters Invited to St. Joseph's Conference

Tickets are $10, and include lunch. Space is limited.

St. Joseph’s Women’s Hospital, St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital and BayCare Behavioral Health have joined together to offer a Mother/Daughter Conference to tackle topics including teasing, self-esteem, relationships, social media and more. Moms with daughters ages 11-14 are encouraged to participate.

Keynote speaker Judy Freedman, MSW, LCSW, has over 30 years of therapeutic and educational experience with children, adolescents and adults in a variety of settings.

As a social worker in elementary schools for more than 20 years, she created Easing the Teasing, a groundbreaking program that empowers kids with essential skills and strategies to handle teasing incidents.

Following the keynote speech, breakout sessions on the following topics will include:

  • Moms only: Building Healthy Relationships with Your Teens with Brie Pulas, MD, Psychiatrist
  •  Daughters only: Becoming Confident Young Women, with Deborah Thomas Sickmon, Child Advocate, St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital

Guests will have the opportunity to hear from the experts during a panel discussion on raising confident daughters in an ever-changing world with Freedman as the moderator.
