Lowry Park Orangutans Celebrate Easter

Hadiah, a 7-year-old female orangutan, chows down on a hard-boiled egg at Lowry Park Zoo.

The Bornean orangutan family at Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo had an “egg” citing morning with the zoo’s annual Orangutan Egg Hunt.

The four playful primates enjoyed hard-boiled eggs, baskets, toys and treats throughout the exhibit.

In addition to enjoying the activity, the orangutans benefit from the challenge of exploring their habitat for treats, stimulating them both mentally and physically.
