Hillsborough County Senior Health Initiative Seeks Sponsors

The program is called "Let's Move! Hillsborough County."

A new series of monthly walks and health programs for local seniors called "Let's Move! Hillsborough County" is being kicked off by Hillsborough County Division of Aging Services.

The county is also seeking sponsors for the program - which is being co-sponsored with the regional Lifestyles After 50 magazine - and designed to encourage senior citizens to start exercising and socializing in their communities. The events will be open to all residents 50 years and older.

The events will be held monthly at each of the county’s Senior Centers, and will include warm-up exercises, a one-mile fun walk, themed activities, health information, a free T-shirt and continental breakfast.
