Digital Upgrades Coming to Tampa Airport

The upgrades will be digital at the Tampa Bay area's main airport.

If you're used to antiquated technology when you're heading out of town from Tampa International Airport, get ready for some upgrades.

The airport is in the middle of a $7 million project that will install new digital signs, from flat-screen TV's to video walls displaying local events and weather, according to the Tampa Bay Times.

The idea is to provide travelers with updated data at every step of their trip.
