Busted Sewer Pipe Closes Local Street

The work begins on June 21 near Southeast Seminole Heights.

On Friday, June 21, drivers in the Southeast Seminole Heights area will see a few changes in the Chelsea Street area.

Repairs to a broken sewer pipe on East Chelsea Street between 10th and 12th streets, according to a release from the City of Tampa's Wastewater Department. That section of the street will be closed while the work is being done.

Drivers should use alternative routes to avoid the area, which is just east of Nebraska Avenue.

Repairs should be completed by Thursday, June 27.
