DESCRIPTION:Jobsite Theater presents "Closetland" by Radha Bharadwaj\, ba
 sed on her 1991 screenplay about a man who purports to be a government r
 epresentative and his interrogation of the female author of a children's
  story.\nThe theater says: "Powerful and terrifying\, 'Closetland' ultim
 ately links political\, state-sponsored violence with intimate\, persona
 l abuse\, asserting that both forms of violence stem from the same root.
  It captures the psychological landscape of those who engage in torture
 and aggression\, while also defining the nature of courage and resistanc
 e. Its gripping\, unflinching scrutiny of both\, and its sweep and power
 \, captures the nature of violence\, and violence against a woman\, in p
 articular\, without resorting to exploitative gore. You will leave with
 a deeper understanding of why some human beings violate others &mdash\;
 and why some manage to soar above the abuse."\nNOTE: Jobsite is acceptin
 g new children's clothing\, personal hygiene products\, diapers\, and he
 alth and beauty aids in front of the theater about an hour before each p
 erformance. The items are being collected on behalf of The Spring of Tam
 pa Bay\, a local domestic-violence shelter.
