Occasional incident reports from Tampa Fire Rescue.At 2:40 p.m. Tuesday, Tampa Fire Rescue crews responded to a car crash just north of downtown at Florida Avenue and Scott Street. Upon arrival, rescuers found that two SUVs had crashed, with one vehicle on its side, Capt Bill Wade said in a media release. The adult male driving the SUV that had flipped was trapped inside, Wade said. He was quickly freed by firefighters and was not injured. The driver of the SUV that had not flipped was awake and alert and treated by firefighters at the scene before being rushed to Tampa General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
