There will be a traffic issue, for sure, since E. Hillsborough is already crowded during the day. And, what good does it do to complain? The property has already been purchased, just as in the case of the Dollar Store, and the two halfway houses on Highland. It's a bit too late. Does our vision for our neighborhood really matter to anyone?

Why do we need one more bargain/discount store? We are surrounded by them! At least we have Publix! They denied CVS which would of been nice to have a drugstore nearby, but approve Family Dollar & Wal-Mart??? I wish we could have a Target which is higher quality retailer than all the crap they are allowing to move in! I don't think the city cares about the RIGHT DIRECTION for our neighborhood just THE ALMIGHTY DOLLAR!!!! So sad because this neighborhood is amazing and deserves the same forethought in planning given to Hyde Park!!!

Leslie's right - it's too late anyway. I hate the Walmart philosophy - where they buy goods, how they treat their employees. Would have much preferred a Target if we're to have that "sort" of store. Would realy prefer an Office Depot or Staples if we're going with box stores.

Walmart is known throughout the world to be corrupt in business and horrible to it's employees. After learning the truth, I wouldn't shop there if it were the last store on the planet.

I can't believe how people can complain about businesses that bring jobs into the neighborhood. They'd wish for whatever but that lot has laid vacant and a blight since Autoway moved out. Walmart is bringing back job opportunities, and yes, many are entry level but people need to work. Target and Walmart get their merchandise from the same locations but Target presents it differently. Some people just love to complain. Check out the lies about Target being anti-gay or anti-christian.

LOL,, I am with you Bob, I would rather see a productive business than another trashy empty car lot,, come on people lets get real, a lot of real estate in this area is not prime,'IE" old car lots, and old motels, any improvement is good. The trash is what drives me crazy, wish we could get some "please do not litter" signs, I pick up trash on my street all the time, its terrible, wish everyone would take 15 minutes a week and pick up some trash, that would be an improvement, an easy one!!!
